Military Child of the Week Salute – Silas & Aidan Argonza
February 27, 2012
It’s time for our Military Child of the Week Salute! Every Monday we salute a military child for their sacrifice as a parent – or in some cases both parents – are serving in the military.
If you’d like to nominate a military child for our weekly salute it’s easy to do!
Today we’re saluting Silas and Aidan Argonza!
Once again we are saluting two wonderful boys we met while attending the Celebrate the Military Child Holiday Bonanza Event in San Diego this past December. As you can see Silas was a little on a shy side while his big brother Aidan was looking around at all the fun things at the event!
Silas’ and Aidan’s Daddy is a Fire Controlman with the U.S. Navy. It certainly sounds like Petty Officer 2nd Class Argonza has a fun job! While fighting fires is a dangerous thing, if I hadn’t become a General in the U.S. Army, I may have become a fire fighter! I love the big red trucks they ride in! I imagine it’s also lots of fun sliding down the fire pole when a call comes in too. I wonder if PO2 Argonza has a fire pole he slides down?
But, lets get back to saluting his two wonderful boys! We didn’t meet PO2 Argonza at the event but we had a fun time meeting his boys and their Mommy. When she nominated them she told us that Salas is a “wild boy” at two years old and Aidan is a very “smart and helpful big boy”.
We are proud to salute both Silas and Aidan here today as part of our Military Child of the Week Salute. Now boys be sure to watch the mail for a special package that will arrive to your doorstep from General Sarge HQ.
Two paws up!
