Visiting Build-A-Bear Store – May 1, 2011
Mall At Stonecrest – Lithonia, GA
Just Outside Atlanta
One of the really cool things Build-A-Bear has are “Pawsports”. It’s like a passport, but only for Build-A-Bears. Whenever you visit a Build-A-Bear store you can take your bears Pawsport with you and they will stamp it showing that your furry friend visited the store. Of course General Sarge has a Pawsport and that meant while we were away at Fort Benning for Ben’s graduation, we just had to visit an area Build-A-Bear store.
While we were there we met one of the great Bear Specialists, and a manager from the Build-A-Bear Workshop store at the Mall at Stonecrest just outside of Atlanta. The staff at every Build-A-Bear store are always happy to not only help all their visitors build new friends, but they also welcome with open arms other Build-A-Bears too! Of course they always look at General Sarge and say – “Now he’s a ‘well-loved’ bear”.
After posing for the picture with Courtney it also seemed appropriate that we take a few more pictures around the store too! Especially this one! A special display of graduation Build-A-Bears! As soon as General Sarge saw the graduation bears and since we were celebrating PVT Ben’s graduation, we just had to take this picture of Ben and General Sarge with all the other “beary” graduates.
This was a fun picture too. Actually as we looked around the store Ben saw the Obi-Wan Kenobi Build-A-Bear and said hey – “Let’s take a picture of three warriors”! So we have here of course General Sarge, along with PVT Benjamin Jeffrey a new warrior in the US Army Infantry and an Obi-Wan Kenobi Build-A-Bear. A galactic warrior.
Can you tell we had a great time at the store? General Sarge even found something new for him too!
With the summer months rapidly approaching, he figured he needed some new shades! We took this picture back at the motel room. Even though it was night time and we were in the room, General Sarge figured he had to pose with his new shades. He’s all set for the sunny weather now!
All in all we had a great time visiting not only Courtney, but all the other Bear Specialists at the Build-A-Bear Workshop store at the Mall at Stonecrest. They welcomed us with open arms and we had a fantastic time visiting.
The final picture here for today is one of PVT Benjamin Jeffrey and General Sarge standing in front of the great store at the Mall at Stonecrest.
If you’re in the Atlanta
area make sure you stop by the store and tell them General Sarge sent you.
Stay Army Strong!
