Day 196: Jazzy Kind of Mood

Jazzy Kind of Mood – October 1, 2011

The other day on PV2 Ben’s Facebook page he wrote about going to a concert with one of his Unit buddies who plays in a band. While at the concert Ben got to take pictures. That’s something he has always loved doing and he said he really had a great time snapping pics again.

Taking pictures is something we used to do together as well. When General Sarge heard that his human-owner was taking pictures again he was very happy too. So happy he reminded me that Ben and I used to enjoy taking pictures together.

Day 178: Military Child Follow-Up

Military Child Follow-Up – August 29, 2011

It’s Monday and that means it’s time for our Military Child of the Week Salute here at General Sarge HQ. This week we’re doing something a little bit different. We are so blessed to have this opportunity to bring smiles and encouragement to military families. We are also meeting some great people who are supporting the Gift-A-Bear Campaign by donating bears! Later this week we’ll have a special “Two paws up” post for them too.

Today it’s my honor and privilege to do a follow up report on one of our past Military Child Salutes. On August 15 we saluted Jamie Bacigalupo who’s Dad is currently stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. When her Mom sent this picture to me she said:

“Jamie is loving him! She hasn’t put him down yet and is having so much fun!” On her Facebook page Jamie’s Mom wrote: “She is checking out each bit of it and saying it will be her dad the next time he’s deployed. She’s walking around clutching him.”

We are absolutely thrilled that Jamie’s “General Sarge Gift-A-Bear” arrived for deployment at her house which is now his permanent station. She also wrote a great post over on Jamie’s Angels4Epilepsy site.
