Joint Task Force

While General Sarge is a One Star General in the Army, it is also worth noting that our mission at General Sarge HQ is to encourage all branches of the military. With that in mind, General Sarge is proud to include these furry bear-friends as part of his personal Joint Task Force in encouraging not only our troops, but also their families.

General Sarge – United States Army: General Sarge’s human-owner is PV2 Benjamin Jeffrey, an active U.S. Army Infantry solider. General Sarge is the main commander of this page and he’s proud of all the support he receives not only form his human friends, but also from his fellow furry bear friends too.

Master Sarge – United States Army Reserves: MSG Sarge is General Sarge’s  furry brother. His owner is also the brother of General Sarge’s human-owner. Ryan is on medical leave from the Reserves.

CPL Buddy – United States Army Reserves: CPL Buddy’s human owner is SPC Tracy Bonzo. Following in the footsteps of his human-owner, CPL Buddy is in charge of Civil Affairs with the Task Force. CPL Buddy and General Sarge have become great friends over the past while and hang out quite a bit together. CPL Buddy is also in charge of new orders for the Gift-A-Bear Campaign bears. He’s the Training NCO making sure everything is ready for when the bears deploy.

Gunnery SGT Gunny Bear – U.S. Marines: Gunny Bear’s human-owner is the son of Retired Marine Major Hank Salmans who owns Devil Dog Brew Coffee. Since the Task Force is made up of every branch of the military, General Sarge is honored to have the U.S. Marines represented on his Task Force too. Of course since Gunny Bear has a direct link to Devil Dog Brew coffee, he also makes sure the Task Force always has a pot of the best military coffee around brewing at all times.

CPL Slappy Bear – U.K. Military – Overseas Correspondent: CPL Slappy Bear’s human-owner is a good friend and fellow blogger of Dr. Rus’ from Wales. General Sarge and Slappy met via the Internet. CPL Slappy actually serves in two positions on the Task Force. He’s the official Meteorologist because he knows how to read that cool Galileo Thermometer he’s looking at. CPL Slappy is also General Sarge’s overseas correspondent.

Drill SGT Buff – United States Army: Like her name says, Drill SGT Buff is in charge of taking the troops from “Fluff to Buff”. DS Buff’s human-owner is Janet. You can find her on Twitter as BodynSoil or also on her BodynSoil website. There’s a big need to make sure not only everyone is shape, but also our current soldiers and future soldiers. DS Buff is one of the driving forces behind the P90X-Bear Dare, from Fluff to Buff program.

PVT Sparky – U.S. Army – Communication Specialist – It’s important to make sure all lines of communication are open and working for the Task Force. PVT Sparky’s human-owner, Katherine, has been a good friend of our family for years. She was more than happy to see her Build-A-Bear Sparky become part of the Task Force. Katherine has had Sparky for a number of years. As a result of Ben joining the Army she decided to make Sparky part of the Army too.

SGT Rangel (sounds like Angel with an R) – U.S. Army: SGT Rangel’s human-owner is the great DJ on HOOAH Radio known as DJAngelAmy. SGT Rangel is the Morale Officer and the Spinner of the Tunes for the Task Force. Amy told General Sarge that SGT Rangel was a gift she received for all the hard work she puts into the Rolling Angels for Armed Forces.
