Military Child of the Week Salute – Leah Lemon
February 20, 2012
It’s time for our Military Child of the Week Salute! Every Monday we salute a military child for their sacrifice as a parent – or in some cases both parents – are serving in the military.
If you’d like to nominate a military child for our weekly salute it’s easy to do!
Today we’re saluting a little girl who’s parents both serve in the Canadian Air Force!
Please say hello to Leah!
Leah’s Mom is CPL Rebecca Lemon who serves in the Canadian Air Force stationed in Kingston, Ontario. Leah’s Dad is also in the Canadian Air Force and Jonathan is currently in officer training!
As you can see in the picture – Leah is a little ballerina who loves to dance!
A Proud Grandma!
We found out about Leah from her Grandma when we were visiting my human-owners Grandparents in Stirling, Ontario Canada a few months ago.
After church we all went to Jenny’s Country Lane for brunch. Of course I was along for the visit too and Leah’s Grandma Patricia quickly noticed me! We had a great talk about furry friends and soon discovered Grandma Patricia is very proud of both Leah and her daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Jonathan. She asked if we could salute Leah and I of course said “Yes!” Even though I’m with the U.S. Army, we want to comfort military families all over the world.
Two paws up!
