Day 238 - Military Child of the Week Salute

Please say hello to Rylie Sulivan who just turned one last month! Rylie is the daughter of Landy and SPC Adam Sullivan who is currently stationed in Germany with 11B Hawk Company 3/2 SCR (Calvary Unit). SPC Sullivan is a Stryker driver. Adam was deployed for the last half of Landy’s pregnancy, but due to complications, he was able to come home for the birth of his daughter.

But, shortly after her birth, SPC Sullivan was then deployed once again for the first six months of her life. He is now back home with his family in Germany, loving life with his wife and little girl.

A Rochester Knighthawks Gift-A-Bear

Rochester Knighthawks - Gift-A-Bear 08 A few weeks ago we gathered with the Rochester Knighthawks Lacrosse team to make some Gift-A-Bears. It was a great time and I really appreciate the support the Knighthawks have given the campaign.

Not only did they make some teddy bears but they also signed the teddy bears! This bears name is Sam and he was build by Tyler Burton, Jordan Hall and Stephen Keogh. Sam is set for deployment to Rylie and we know she will love the bear but we also know her parents will enjoy receiving the bear too. Both Adam and Landy are from the Southern Tier in New York State and are Rochester Knighthawk fans!

Two paws up!

  1. It looks like Rylie is getting ready to phone daddy or she is phoning General Sarge to wish him Merry Christmas ;)

  2. Great news that he was home to see the birth of his baby girl, so sad that he then missed her first 6 months, they are reunited again at least. Thank you to the Knighthawks for their work building Sam, I am sure he will greatly loved.
