As you know we attended the Celebrate the Military Child Holiday Bonanza in San Diego, CA last weekend. We had a great time, met a lot of wonderful people and made friends with great helpers too! The Girl Scouts were on hand at the event to help hand out toys to all the families that attended. I made sure I made the rounds and greeted everyone like these helpers here!

Gift-A-Bear Winners

Of course while we were there we gathered a lot of names for our weekly Military Child Salute. We also had Gift-A-Bears to giveaway throughout the morning too. Every hour there were special drawings for various door prizes and we made sure some military families received teddy bears.

Here’s some of the winners! To see a picture of the happy kids just click on the name of the person and you can see a picture of them, myself and the Gift-A-Bear they were given.

  • Austin Pfeffer – Austin is 2 months old and his father Justin is a Petty Officer 1st Class in the Navy.
  • Adelyn Weber – Madilyn is two and a half years old and loves to dance! Her father is Petty Officer 2nd Class Scott Weber who’s in the Navy too!
  • Maki & Marissa Paredes – Maki and Marissa’s dad is SSG Paredes with the U.S. Army.
  • David Tillman – David is the son of Corporal Tillman who is serving with 11B – that stands for 11 Bravo, Infantry – (Just like my human-owner) – David gave his bear to his letter brother Anthony

I of course want to say thanks to our generous Gift-A-Bear donors too! Without your help we would not be able to give teddy bears to military children.

  1. Hey there General Sarge, do you ever get time to sit back and put your paws up? You always seem so busy 😉

  2. Kuddos! Gift giving is what I love most. Surely everybody had a wonderful time.
